Team Drone Tech

We are a team of students and graduates from FH Joanneum who are passionate about UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) in general and everything related to them.

A mix of applied research, constantly evolving multirotor technology, and a lot of passion form the foundation of the Drone-Tech team at Joanneum Aeronautics. In collaboration with the Aviation Institute of FH Joanneum, projects such as software programming (e.g., for self-built flight controls), construction and testing of UAVs (e.g., with our partner Drone Rescue Systems), and consulting for local drone manufacturers are the cornerstones of the team's ambitions.

Furthermore, the strong personal interest of the team members in drone technology and programming not only leads to projects in collaboration with FH Joanneum but also to numerous activities of the team in their free time.

Especially when the weather gets warmer, the team is ready to unpack their private equipment, mostly FPV racing quads, and use their acquired knowledge to improve their own copters and even participate in some races from time to time.

Many projects are initiated through bachelor's or master's theses, where the theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures and the practical application from teamwork lead to an excellent start in the endeavor.
