DBF 2021

In 2021, the AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition took place as a virtual fly-off. Our team submitted a video showcasing the flight missions as well as technical details and insights into the development of our UAV "Stingray" – supported by students from the Institute of Journalism and Public Relations. The aircraft was characterized by an efficient overall concept, an aerodynamically optimized design, and precise system integration. Out of 117 submitted concepts, 92 teams were admitted to the virtual competition. With a 9th overall rank, we achieved a top-ten placement, were the best European team, and finished less than one point behind the winning team from India.
